[Appearance] Almost everything seems average about Light. He's an average height for his age, not appearing too tall or too short next to any person he may stand beside. His medium length, falling past his eyes hair is an everyday, work acceptable brown color, seeming lighter when some source of light strikes it. Each of his eyes follow the trend - a normal brown color, yielding lighter specks (and perhaps red, if the light is right) if one was to get close enough to bump noses with the twenty year-old. He dresses like any other person; Formal when all eyes are resting upon him, casual when around friends or the door is securely closed. One thing not so average about him are his so-called handsome looks, the features enough to bring in nearly every girl whose eyes happen to fall on him.
[Personality] Unfortunately for Light, he wasn't graced with the most enthusiastic of personalities. Hell, some might say that he is lacking one altogether. He acts too mature, too serious, for his age, an attribute that he's shown since he was a young child. His intelligence tends to get in the way, leaving him to make logical decisions over those that are spontaneous or thoughtless (read: fun). Despite this, he still finds himself surrounded and liked by the people around him. Sometimes it pays to show a little brains.
[History/Background] There was only one possible thing that he was certain of using his over-intelligence for: Light Yagami would find the one named L. Attending college as the top student at the time that the mysterious man disappeared, he began to neglect his studies, wrapped up in what little information was left behind. It was so easy to hide things or alter information those days, he found himself following false lead after false lead. Soon enough honesty, mixed with his logic, seemed to prevail; Someone anonymously approached him one day after class, informing him with downcast eyes that they had a feeling where L could possibly be. That was it. Light knew that if he were to ignore this chance, he would forever kick himself in the future for having been so ignorant. Saying goodbye to his father, mother, and younger sister on the pretense that he was taking a fall vacation, he boarded the one ship leaving port to the destination he had been informed of - Fiuay.
